TopBet Football Betting Tips
Soccer is the number one draw at TopBet, and you’ll find it at the top of the list of sports. There are also some shortcuts to the day’s top soccer, upcoming fixtures and the English Premier League right at the top of the sidebar.
There are a huge number of options here, with 57 nations to choose from and a number of international competitions. Most countries have multiple professional leagues to choose from, and Turkey, Germany, England, and Austria also have amateur league coverage.
When you have selected your chosen league, the upcoming matches will be displayed in the centre of the screen along with a few of the main markets such as match result, BTTS and first goalscorer.
TopBet Horse Racing Betting Tips & more
While horse racing is popular here - rugby is even more so. Rugby is the next most popular sport after soccer, and it covers rugby league, rugby union, and rugby sevens. Each of these categories has multiple options, such as the NRL, Super League and RFL Challenge Cup for rugby league betting and the English Premiership, World Cup and Six Nations for rugby union, in addition to the world series in rugby sevens.
It’s worth noting that the TopBet website displays its odds in net decimal (traditional South Africa method), whereas these examples are shown in regular decimal (European format). If you’d like the odds in net decimal, simply subtract 1.0 from the odds shown above.
Like with soccer, selecting your chosen league will display the choice of matches along with the win/draw markets. There isn’t much market depth here however, with only the half time/full time, highest scoring half, and winning margins options available.
Other Sports
Tennis and horse racing are the other sports which occupy the top of the sidebar, and both of these also have a good range of options. The tennis category has coverage of the ATP, WTA, and worldwide Challenge Cup competitions, and horse racing has a variety of meetings from the US and UK.
The market depth of the tennis matches is very shallow, with only 2-way odds available for most matches, but horse racing has several options such as swinger, exacta, trifecta, quartet, and jackpot.
To see how TopBet’s pricing matches up to a few other brands in the country, we ran a few comparisons. As you see, a couple of markets show TopBet holding its own but it is a touch behind in the others and we couldn’t find the cricket market either which was surprising.

TopBet Live Betting
Unfortunately, the TopBet does not currently support in-play betting. Hopefully, this will be added to the website in a future update.
TopBet Website and Login
There is quite a lot of information on the TopBet homepage, but the clever use of coloured text and white space means that it is well categorised and doesn’t appear cluttered or chaotic.
All the sporting options are where you’d expect them to be, in the left-hand sidebar, and clicking each sport allows you to browse the available countries and also browse the matches which are starting soon. Most nations have a good choice of leagues and cup competitions, and clicking through to the matches will also bring up a few of the main markets for each game. There is also a handy breadcrumb menu which displays your choices so far, such as Football - England - English Premier League, making it easy to change any of the previous steps you’ve taken. Placing a bet is as simple as clicking the odds; it will then be added to your bet slip.
Betting Products
TopBet has a number of features and products that caught our eye:
Quick-Bet
If you’re online and want to place a wager with TopBet but don’t have an account, you can use the quick-bet feature. All you have to do is make your selection, input the stake you wish to place, enter your mobile number, and click ‘bet’. Once the bet has been placed all you have to do is go to a TopBet retail branch and tell them your mobile number. You can then pay for your bet and receive your bet ticket.
Comprehensive Help Section
As well as 24/7 customer support, TopBet also has a General Help area with FAQs, a sports betting terminology dictionary, and an explanation of all the different market types. If you’re new to online betting, this is an invaluable resource.
Crazy Numbers
The Crazy Numbers category offers fixed-odds lotto betting from around the world. All the main draws from South Africa, Europe, America, and Canada are here, as well as some from India, South Korea, Turkey, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. There is also the Betgames option, which is basically the same as Crazy Numbers but played in real-time as the balls are dropping.
TopBet Mobile App
There isn’t a TopBet mobile app available as of yet, but the mobile website is optimised for use on your smartphone or tablet. The layout is slightly different, utilising a very rudimentary text-only platform, but all the same options are there with very fast loading times and intuitive navigation. If you prefer to use that layout on your desktop PC or laptop, you can check it out at https://mobi.topbet.co.za. No matter what kind of mobile device you’re using, you’ll have no problem placing your bets on-the-go.
TopBet Withdrawals and Deposits
The choice of payment methods isn’t huge at TopBet, but there are enough options to satisfy most customers:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Bank transfer
A few e-wallet options like Skrill, Neteller, or PayPal would be a worthwhile addition for future updates.
TopBet Customer Service
The customer support centre is open 24/7, but there are only a few ways you can get in touch:
Email: mobi@topbet.co.za
Phone: 0861-867-238
Twitter: @topbetSA
Live chat: Yes, but only available at certain times.
