Mobibets Review
MobiBet is a family-run sports betting website which, as you may have guessed from the name, is geared towards mobile betting. It was launched in January 2016, but has perhaps held on to the mobile-centric model a little too tightly; the desktop website is just a large version of the (very rudimentary) mobile site.

Mobibets Football Betting Tips
Soccer has the largest selection of options. There are 60 nations to choose from, including some amateur categories, as well as a few international competitions. Most countries will have multiple leagues to choose from, with the main European countries having the biggest range. England usually has around 10 leagues and competitions to choose from, with the Premier League, Championship and F.A Cup being the frontrunners.
Overall market depth is good but not spectacular. The major leagues and other big games from the UCL and Europa League will boast around 80 betting categories with multiple wagers in each. Categories include half time/full time, first goalscorer, bookings home, and correct score to name a few. There is the standard drop-off in betting options when looking around the lower leagues and those from less-fancied countries but this is to be expected.
Mobibets Horse Racing Betting Tips & more
Horse Racing also has a good selection of nations. You can view meetings from here in South Africa as well as other countries including Australia, Dubai, Ireland, the UK and France. Each meeting will have all the available races, with options such as starting price, open win, open place, and open exotics.
One thing that MobiBets is sorely missing is a results guide. Any sportsbook worth its salt has a way of checking the previous form, especially with horse racing, so if MobiBets wants to compete with the big boys, it really needs to add features like this for its punters.
Other Sports
All the other popular sports are here, including basketball, rugby union, tennis and golf. Basketball, in particular, has a great selection of 15 nations to choose from, but for some reason, there is only pre-match betting for a small number of leagues. Most of the main options, including the NBA, only has outright futures betting on the conference winners and overall winner. For the matches that are on offer, the market depth is lagging, with only the 2-way odds wagers available.
Rugby union has all the options you’d expect, including Super Rugby, European Challenge Cup, English Premiership, and the Six Nations to name but a few. There is good market depth here too, with options such as first-half goals, highest scoring half, half-time/full-time, and a selection of exotics.
Tennis also covers all the competitions that you’d expect, with ATP, WTA, ITF, and Challenger tours available. However, like basketball, most of these are outright futures as opposed to pre-match betting. There are some pre-match options, but only for a couple of games. The market depth is pretty shallow for the matches that are available, with only the two-way odds and correct 3-set score wagers.
Despite the lack of choice available for some of the main sports, we wanted to see how MobiBets’ prices compared against some of the other local bookmakers. From the randomly taken sample, MobiBets performed well but as the NBA market highlights, some bets are not competitive. For this reason, we always advise punters to cross-check with another brand before betting.
Event | Mobibets | G-Bets | WSB |

Basketball: NBA, Bulls vs 76ers. 76ers to win | 0.02 | 0.15 | 0.12 |

Mobibets Live Betting
Unfortunately, MobiBets does not currently support live in-play betting. Hopefully, this will be added in an update in the near future.
Mobibets Website and Login
The MobiBets homepage is definitely simple to use; it looks like it could’ve been built in the 1990s. You’re presented with all the main options; login/register, sporting categories, and the ‘about us’ links. As you’re browsing the website you can view these options at the click of a button by hitting the drop down/pop-out menu icon in the top left of the screen.
Despite the rudimentary nature of the website’s layout, it is very intuitive. The options flow nicely into each other and every click takes you exactly where you would expect it to. There is no danger of the pages seeming cluttered as there are no images and hardly any information on the screen at all; if anything the pages feel rather empty. This isn’t really a problem on a mobile device, but when you’re using a desktop machine the text is all very spread out.
The login/registration form is equally straightforward with only a few fields to fill in.
Betting Products
MobiBets might be missing some key features, but there are also some aspects of the website that we really liked. Here are just a few examples:
Specials Markets
Many online sportsbooks of this size will only cover sports and racing, but MobiBets has included a range of specials markets covering entertainment and current affairs betting. There are music, politics, and Royals wagers, with such events as the Eurovision Song Contest, the next president of the USA, and the birth of Harry and Meghan’s first child.
Lotto and Powerball Betting
As well as the specials markets, MobiBets also has fixed-odds lotto and powerball betting from around the world. There is a huge range of 27 nations to choose from, including the UK, US, Hong Kong, Brazil, and of course South Africa. There are loads of options for each draw, as well as a super-simple number selection widget.
Ease Of Use
The simplicity of this platform is definitely one of its defining features. If you’ve never used an online sportsbook before, this would be a perfect place to start. The layout of the options means that you can’t go wrong, and there are no distracting adverts littered around the pages.
Mobibets Mobile App
As we mentioned at the beginning of this page, the MobiBets website is the same on both a desktop and mobile device. The platform was created specifically for mobile, so it definitely looks much better on a smartphone or tablet. There is no app available yet, but one may be lined-up in the future.
Mobibets Withdrawals and Deposits
The selection of payment methods is pretty small at MobiBets:
- Credit cards
- ETFs
- Bank transfer
Mobibets will charge an administration fee of 5% on credit card deposits, and you won’t be able to make a withdrawal until your FICA documentation has been verified. There is no indication of payout times given on the website.
Mobibets Customer Service
MobiBets does not have any information listed about the opening hours of the customer service centre. There is also no live chat available, but they still support queries by fax.
