Belgium had a disappointing run in Euro 2024, barely making it to the Round of 16 after claiming four points in group stage.

The Red Devils opened the tournament with a 1-0 loss to Slovakia, but bounced back with a 2-0 win over Romania with Youri Tielemans and Kevin De Bruyne finding the net. A goalless draw against Ukraine was enough to advance.

Domenico Tedesco’s side then got knocked out by France 1-0 in the Round of 16, ending the match with 0.26-1.36 expected goals, 48% possession and 6-20 shots.

Belgium ended 2nd in the previous season in UEFA Nations League A, behind Netherlands, ahead of Poland and Wales (three wins, one draw, two defeats).
