Real Madrid simply have to win to stay in touch with Barcelona at the top of the table. Getafe's record is poor against the visitors, so I see no reason to not back Madrid.

Real Madrid have won one of their previous six games, starting with a 4-4 draw against Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey. They lost 2-1 against Valencia in La Liga, unable to capitalise on 3.36-1.09 expected goals.

Los Blancos side saw their Champions League aspirations end against Arsenal in the quarter-finals. A 3-0 loss in London was followed by a 2-1 defeat in Spain, a shock for the 15-time European champions.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side have won two straight in La Liga where they trail leaders Barcelona by four points which could be seven before kick off.

Kylian Mbappé was sent off shortly after Eduardo Camavinga’s 34th minute strike as Real Madrid held on to beat Deportivo Alaves 1-0. They dominated Athletic Club on Sunday but had to wait until the 92nd minute for Federico Valverde to score, ending the contest with 2.41-0.13 expected goals.

Real Madrid left it late against Athletic Bilbao but completely dominated the contest. I expect the visitors to be too good here and keep the pressure on La Liga leaders Barcelona.
