Cape Town Spurs vs Maritzburg United Predictions - Team of Choice to take narrow win to nil

This is the first ever meeting between these two teams. 

Spurs finished in second spot in the National First Division. They had to win their final match for automatic promotion but could only draw.

After 2-0 wins against Casric Stars and Platinum City Rovers, they sat in first place with three matches to play. A 2-1 loss at Venda FC was damaging but a 2-1 victory at NB La Masia sent them top going into the final round. 

CT Spurs could only draw 1-1 at home with University of Pretoria and went into the playoffs. Their opening promotion playoff saw  2-1 win away at Casric Stars.

Coach Shaun Bartlett has no major injuries or suspensions. He could move Ashley Cupido to a lone striker role for this one. 

Orlando Pirates loanee striker Boitumelo Radiopane could drop to the bench. Chumani Butsaka could start on the flank in his place.

Maritzburg took four points from their final two league matches to secure a playoff spot. A 1-0 loss at Swallows in round 27 saw them on the verge of relegation. 

A 92nd minute goal conceded to relegation rivals Marumo Gallants in a 2-2 home draw was a disappointment. They bounced back to beat Stellenbosch 1-0 at home and draw 1-1 at a second-string Mamelodi Sundowns to finish 15th.

Their opening playoff match saw a 2-0 home win against Casric Stars. Rowan Human netted a brace for Maritzburg.

Coach Fadlu Davids has a doubt over goalkeeper King Ndlovu in the last match. It could be an unchanged XI for this match. 

French forward Amadou Soukouna was absent against Casric Stars so Friday Samu could lead the line.
