Sekhukhune United vs Chippa United Predictions - Babina Noko to beat Chilli Boys

These sides have met on seven previous occasions with Sekhukhune holding a 3-2 lead with two draws.

When the clubs last met in May, Sekhukhune eked out a 1-0 win away at Chippa. 

Babina Noko finished fourth last term despite a run of just two wins from rounds 21 to 30. They won their opening PSL match this season but were knocked out of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Last term ended with a 1-0 win at Chippa United to end a five-match wait for a victory. This season got underway with a 1-0 home loss to Cape Town City in the MTN8. 

They lost 1-0 at Desportivo Lunda-Sul in their CAF first leg before winning 2-1 in the first leg to exit on away goals. They beat Magesi FC 1-0 in the league between those two legs of the tie.

Coach Lehlohonolo Seema heavily rotated his team over the weekend. New striker Andy Boyeli is set to return to the starting XI. 

Veteran defender Daniel Cardoso may be replaced by Njabulo Ngcobo. Linda Mntambo is available after injury and Sipho Mbule could make his debut in midfield.

The Chilli Boys ended an eight-match winless run last time out. They had lost six and drawn two fixtures during that streak. 

After successive draws, Chippa were beaten 1-0 at home by Sekhukhune United on the final day of last season. They began the 2024-25 campaign with a 2-1 loss at Orlando Pirates after conceding in the dying moments. 

On Saturday, they ended their winless run with a 1-0 home victory over Richards Bay FC.

Chippa United should have Andile Jali available after a hamstring complaint. Siphelo Baloni is pushing for a start in the engine room. 

Left back Gadiel Kamagi is still awaiting his work permit. Craig Martin is set for a recall down the right flank.
