They followed up that win with a 2-0 victory at newly promoted Magesi FC. In midweek, they lost 3-0 at Orlando Pirates having been at 0-0 at half time.

Polokwane City could hand veteran attacker Puleng Marema a start after his goal against Magesi. He was benched in midweek in favour of an extra defensive midfielder.
