Chiefs Officially Announce New Coach


Kaizer Chiefs officially unveiled Nasreddine Nabi as their new head coach on Sunday. The Tunisian joined the Chiefs squad in Turkiye during their pre-season training camp.

Nabi won back-to-back trebles with Tanzanian giants Yanga SC. In the season just past, he finished second in Morocco’s Botola Pro League at the helm of ASFAR.

Kaizer Chiefs’ Marketing Director Jessica Motaung spoke about why Amakhosi chose Nasreddine Nabi as their new mentor.

“We looked at a number of things. We looked for the right coach who has coached on the continent, who understands the Chiefs brand, who understands where we want to go. A coach who has got hunger and passion for success, passion for the Chiefs brand and a whole lot more.

“I must say well done to the Sporting Director and the entire football department together with the Football Manager for the extensive work they did in scouring the world, it wasn’t just a continental decision.

“We’ve looked at a number of coaches and the presentations that were made and a thorough analysis in finding the right team to work with us.

Chiefs Announce Inaugural Toyota Cup


Kaizer Chiefs have announced they will host the inaugural Toyota Cup later in July. 

The competition will see Amakhosi face Tanzanian giants Young Africans (Yanga SC) in Bloemfontein on 28 July.

Chiefs’ Marketing Director Jessica Motaung said of the new fixture:

“We are taking our relationship with Toyota to the next level.

“I want to thank Toyota, it allows us to have a competitive match during pre-season.”
