Ready to keep fighting for all four trophies

After announcing his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the current season, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that he realised his "resources are not endless" as his side continue to compete for four trophies this campaign - the Premier League, Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup. However, he was quick to add that he and his team were fully committed to challenging for all four trophies.

"I am here and I am fully here. Until the end of the season, we have so much to do - I am fully in that. I want to win everything this season, but it wouldn't change my mind. And if we don't win anything it wouldn't change my mind,” admitted Klopp.

Klopp still has the dressing-room

Liverpool fans will be heartened to know that the players are right behind Klopp in his trophy-chasing mission, with their position at the top of the Premier League table serving to inspire the players to end the Klopp era on a high note.

“We have a really strong bond with the players so they didn't ask questions yet because we are professionals," said Klopp, adding that "you can see the boys are in a really good mood. The best memories in my mind are still to come.

"I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take,” added Klopp.

Silverware in the bank

Klopp guided Liverpool to European Cup glory in 2019, capturing the trophy for the sixth time for the club when they beat Tottenham in the Champions League final in Madrid.

In 2019/20 there was much to celebrate, as Liverpool lifted the Uefa Super Cup, the Club World Cup and the Premier League title.

In 2021/22 Liverpool came agonisingly close to completing the “impossible” quadruple. Having clinched the Caraboa Cup and the FA Cup, Liverpool were pipped for the Premier League on the last day of the season, with Manchester City snatching the title away from them. Shortly after they were beaten by Real Madrid in the final of the Champions League in Paris.
