  • Roma have won to nil in their last 2 home matches against Monza.
  • Monza have lost 10 of their last 12 matches.

Head to Head

Roma have a 3-0 advantage against Monza with 2 draws in 5 matches.

They last met in October, the game ending in a 1-1 draw.

Roma Form

If we exclude their 3-1 loss to AC Milan (Coppa Italia) in the first match this month, Roma are looking strong across competitions.

After beating Venezia 1-0 in Serie A, Giallorossi held Porto to a 1-1 draw in the Europa League playoffs first leg in Portugal.

After earning another narrow domestic win over Parma 1-0, Claudio Ranieri’s side defeated Porto 3-2 in front of the home crowd on Thursday and advanced to Round of 16. Paulo Dybala was named man of the match, scoring a brace.

Roma are currently 9th in Serie A with 37 points after 25 rounds, ten points short of the Top 4 zone.

Monza Form

Monza’s results in early 2025 were disastrous so they sacked Salvatore Bocchetti who lost six of his seven games as the head manager and then re-hired Alessandro Nesta who was leading the team in 2024.

The Brianzoli started this month with back to back defeats to Verona 1-0 and Lazio 5-1 Stefano Senesi scoring a late consolation goal in Rome.

They looked slightly better in Nesta’s debut match last weekend, ending the losing run with a goalless draw against Lecce. Monza had 0.32-0.79 expected goals, 56% possession and 3-5 shots on target.

Team News

There are no reported injuries or suspensions for Roma.

Monza are struggling with injuries, Stefano Sensi, Samuele Birindelli, Matteo Pessina, Roberto Gagliardini and Stefan Lekovic all being ruled out. Armando Izzo is serving a one-match suspension.

Predicted Starting Lineups

Roma: Svilar, Rensch, Mancini, Ndicka, Saelemaekers, Kone, Paredes, Angelino, Dybala, Pellegrini, Dovbyk

Monza: Turati, D'Ambrosio, Palacios, Carboni, Pereira, Urbanski, Bianco, Kyriakopoulos, Ciurria, Mota, Ganvoula

Verdict

Roma have been very strong at home since Claudio Ranieri took over the manager role, claiming eight wins in their last nine games. Monza are the weakest side in Serie A, so a home win stand out as the best bet.
