BTTS is my first pick, and I also expect a minimum of three goals scored.

  • Cagliari have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 matches
  • Cagliari have seen BTTS & over 2.5 goals in their last 3 home matches
  • Cagliari have seen BTTS & over 2.5 goals in their last 3 home matches against Juventus
  • Juventus have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 matches against Cagliari
  • Juventus have seen BTTS in their last 6 away matches
  • Juventus have seen BTTS & over 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 11 matches

Head to Head

Cagliari and Juventus have met on 17 occasions over the past decade. Juventus won 13 of those contests, while Cagliari triumphed just once.

Both of their last two Serie A encounters finished as score draws before Juve eased to a 4-0 win in their most recent meeting in the Coppa Italia two months ago.

Cagliari Form

Cagliari come into Sunday's Serie A contest unbeaten in two matches after an excellent away draw at title-chasing Atalanta last weekend. La Islonai put in a back-to-the-wall display to keep a first away clean sheet of the season against the league's top scorers.

Davide Nicola's side claimed only a fourth home win of the season in their last fixture at Unipol Domus. Florinel Coman's first goal for the club secured a 2-1 win against Parma.

Approaching the final third of the Serie A season, Cagliari sit 14th, five points above the relegation zone.

Cagliari Team News

Cagliari boss Nicola will likely keep faith in the same XI that claimed a hard-fought point in Bergamo last weekend. The Islanders have no new injury issues, with Gianluca Gaetano the only expected absentee this weekend.

Juventus Form

Juventus' four-game winning run was halted with a shock Champions League defeat against PSV last week. Thiago Motta's men were dumped out of the competition, having fallen to a 3-1 loss after extra time.

La Vecchia Signora have been tough to beat domestically, though. Juventus won four of their last five Serie A fixtures, while they remain unbeaten in 32 of 33 previous league games played since March 2024.

Less convincing on the road, Juve failed to win nine of their last 11 away matches (all competitions). They were unable to keep a clean sheet in eight of those games.

Juventus Team News

Juve head coach Motta has a handful of expected injury absentees this weekend. Renato Veiga, Bremer, Juan Cabal and Pierre Kalulu are ruled out, while Douglas Luiz faces a late fitness test.

On-loan French forward Randal Kolo Muani is set to spearhead the visitor's attack, with Dusan Vlahovic restricted to a role from the bench.

Verdict

Recent encounters and current form suggest a good chance of seeing both teams score on Sunday.

I'm putting my stake on BTTS at Unipol Domus.
