Inter Milan are having a great season, performing at a high level across competitions, though they’ve secured just two wins in their last six outings.

A 2-2 draw at Parma followed by a 1-0 loss to Bologna last weekend has seen their lead over Napoli disappear, with both sides now level heading into the final five rounds of Serie A.

Simone Inzaghi’s side held Bayern Munich to a 2-2 draw in the Champions League quarterfinal second leg. Having won 2-1 in Germany, they now face Barcelona in the semifinal. Lautaro Martinez was the hero, scoring in both legs.

Their Coppa Italia semifinal first leg against AC Milan ended in a 1-1 draw in early March, with Hakan Calhanoglu netting the second-half equalizer.

AC Milan’s recent form has been disappointing, with just one win in their last five matches. They are far from Champions League contention, currently sitting 9th in Serie A.

Following a 2-1 loss to Napoli in late March, the Rossoneri were held to back-to-back draws in early April — 1-1 against Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia semifinal first leg, and 2-2 against Fiorentina, where they came from 2-0 down thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic.

Their winless run was snapped with a convincing 4-0 away victory over Udinese, but they slipped back into old habits last weekend, losing 1-0 at home to Atalanta.

Marcus Thuram has suffered a knock last weekend and will most likely miss this clash. Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zielinski are also out with long-term injuries.

As for the visitors, Emerson Royal probably won’t be available until the next season, while Kyle Walker and Santiago Gimenez have recovered and should be in contention for this clash.
