Gambia vs Kenya Predictions
Gambia have a solid record on home soil while Kenya have a vastly improved teams. They are both still vying for points in the qualification table, so this should be a hard-fought match. Considering the results of the two nations recently, I fancy this match to end level.

Gambia Form
Gambia currently sit fifth in Group F of the Africa World Cup qualifiers. They have one win and three defeats in their four games but have managed nine goals in the process.
While the focus has mainly been on AFCON qualifiers in 2024, Gambia will be eager to get a positive result at home here. They are unbeaten in their last three matches, beating Tunisia 1-0 away in a fantastic performance in November 2024.
That victory was followed by a 0-0 home draw against Gabon in the Africa Nations Cup. The second leg between the sides also ended 0-0 which saw Gambia eventually win on penalties.
Gambia Injuries & Team News
Gambia have a close to full strength squad available. While many of their players feature in smaller leagues around the world, they do have some solid local talent available.
Kenya Form
Kenya are a place above Gambia in Group F with one win, two draws and a defeat in four matches. They are not out of the running yet but will probably need all three points from this fixture.
The Kenyan side has been in pretty good form of late, unbeaten in five of their last six matches. There were four successive draws against South Sudan, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso before the Kenyans beat Tanzania away from home in a friendly.
Their last game, towards the end of January 2025, ended in a 1-0 defeat to Zanzibar, although this was a non-sanctioned FIFA friendly, so won’t count towards official results.
Kenya Injuries & Team News
Former South African striker and Manchester United coach, Benni McCarthy has taken over the reins as head coach. McCarthy is very likely to be less defensively minded but this is his first game in charge.
Verdict
Kenya are backed to get a point with a 1-1 draw tipped.
