Cameroon vs Libya Predictions
Cameroon are favoured at home and should have the quality to see off Libya. However, the visitors have achieved some impressive results over the last 12 months. I’m backing the hosts to win to nil.

Head to Head
Cameroon lead 4-1 in seven games against Libya with two draws. They last met in 2023 in the World Cup qualifiers with the match ending 1-1 in Libya.
Cameroon Form
Cameroon are currently placed second in Group D of the Africa World Cup qualifiers. They have played five, won two and drawn three and are one point off Cape Verde.
The Indomitable Lions could find themselves top of the table should Cape Verde drop points in Angola tomorrow. Cameroon’s form of late has been pretty solid, if not a bit inconsistent.
The were poor last week in a World Cup qualifier, only managing a 0-0 draw away to Eswatini. That result cost them top spot and they’ll want to rectify this week.
Cameroon Injuries & Team News
There could be quite a few changes to the Cameroon side who had to travel a decent amount over the last few days. To top that off, their performance was poor last week.
Libya Form
Libya are third in Group D with qualification still more than just possible. They are just two points off the table toppers but can ill afford a defeat here.
Unbeaten in their last three matches, Libya will have some confidence coming into this match. However, since beating Rwanda in AFCON qualification, they have drawn their last two games.
Last week, Libya drew 1-1 at home to Angola. Muaid El Lafi gave Libya the lead I the 74th minute which gave them hope of taking all three points, which would have propelled them up the table. However, they conceded in the 90th minute to share the points.
Libya Injuries & Team News
Last week Libya were quite good at home despite conceding a late equaliser. They will probably stick to the same side bar for one or two changes to keep things fresh.
Verdict
Cameroon are backed to win to nil in this home fixture. A 2-0 scoreline is predicted.
