Kwadwo Duah could reclaim his spot up front after scoring the opening goal against Hungary.

Italy Form

Italy four of their eight European Championship qualifiers, finishing second in Group C behind England.

Gli Azzurri opened their friendlies in March when they beat Venezuela and Ecuador. They played two more in June, a 0-0 draw against Turkey and 1-0 win against Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Luciano Spalletti’s side fell behind in the opening minute against Albania again in their Euro 2024 opener. They regained composure, goals to Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella giving them a 16th minute lead that they preserved.

Italy only managed one shot on target in a 1-0 defeat to Spain, a result that could have been more severe. They trailed Croatia 1-0 in the 55th minute and looked to be going out of the tournament before Mattia Zaccagni’s 97th minute goal gave them a goal and a ticket to the Round of 16.
