England Form
England started Euro 2024 with a 1-0 win against Serbia, Hude Bellingham scoring early in a game with few chances. Harry Kane opened the scoring in a deserved 1-1 draw against Denmark.
Gareth Southgate’s side ended Group C with a 0-0 draw against Slovenia, enough to secure top spot. They had 73% possession and 12-4 shots but couldn’t break the deadlock.
The Three Lions fell behind against Slovakia in the Round of 16, Bellingham’s 94th minute equaliser and Kane’s extra time goal securing a 2-1 victory. Bukayo Saka equalised in the 80th minute against Switzerland, the game going to a penalty shootout where they held their nerve.
England got past Netherlands 2-1 in the semi-finals. Faling behind in the 7th minute, Kane won and converted a penalty 11 minutes later with Ollie Watkins coming off the bench to score a 90th minute wnner.
