Georgia Form

Georgia were poor in the Euro 2024 qualifiers, finishing fourth in Group A after losing four of their eight games. That included three straight defeats, highlighted by a 7-1 thumping against Spain.

Willy Sagnol’s side qualified via the UEFA Nations League, Budu Zivzivadze scored twice in a 2-0 semi-final win against Luxembourg. They went down to 10 men in final against Greece, earning a 0-0 draw followed by a penalty shootout where they prevailed.

The Crusaders played one friendly in June, a 3-1 win in Montenegro where Otar Kiteishvili, Georges Mikautadze and Budu Zivzivadze were on the score sheet.

Georgia started the European Championship with a 3-1 defeat against Turkey. Mikautadze equalised in the first half, individual errors letting themselves down in the second half.
