The Red Devils started the European Championship with a 1-0 defeat against Slovakia. They bounced back by beating Romania 2-0, Youri Tielemans scoring early and Kevin De Bruyne netting late.

Belgium ended the group stage with a deserved 0-0 draw against Ukraine, enough to take second spot.
