Head to Head
Man United have a 71-36 advantage against Leicester in 138 meetings with 31 draws. United beat Leicester in the last two meetings at Old Trafford and scored eight goals.
Man United Form
Man United are unbeaten in three since Erik Ten Hag’s departure, which followed a 2-1 loss at West Ham.
Ruud van Nistelrooy began his interim spell with an impressive 5-2 EFL Cup win over Leicester. The Red Devils then held Chelsea to a 1-1 home draw in the Premier League.
United secured a third home win in four with a 2-0 Europa League triumph against PAOK. Amad Diallo’s brace led the Manchester club to victory as they dominated with 16-8 shots.
Man United Injuries
Thursday’s goalscoring hero Diallo is doubtful after sustaining a late knock against PAOK.
Defenders Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia and midfielder Kobbie Mainoo are ruled out.
Leicester Form
Newly promoted Leicester are winless in 10 of their 13 matches in all competitions this season. The Foxes failed to win any of their first six league fixtures and conceded 12 goals.
Steve Cooper’s side picked up form with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth and a 3-2 victory against Southampton. The Midlands side then had a humbling 3-1 home defeat to rivals Nottingham Forest.
The Foxes almost suffered a second consecutive loss and trailed Ipswich 1-0 at Portman Road. Jordan Ayew netted a 93rd-minute equaliser to earn the Foxes a late point.
Leicester Injuries
Midfielder Hamza Choudhury and forward Patson Daka could return to the squad following recent injuries.
Goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk is injured and unavailable for Sunday’s clash.
Verdict
United look much more positive under van Nistelrooy and can carry winning momentum into the international break. Leicester’s defence looks shaky and a Red Devils home handicap has good value on Sunday.
