Brighton vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

Nottingham Forest will be confident after their morale boosting victory at Anfield last weekend. Brighton are, however, in good form themselves despite being held to a draw last weekend. This is backed to end level.

Head to Head

Nottingham Forest have won 17 of their 41 matches against Brighton. There have been 11 draws and 13 Albion wins.

Brighton Form

Brighton are yet to taste defeat under new manager Fabian Hürzeler in all competitions. The South Coast side are unbeaten in 10 straight matches, winning eight.

Hürzeler’s team made a flying start this season with a 3-0 win against Everton and a 2-1 victory over Man United. A 1-1 draw at Arsenal and goalless deadlock with Ipswich last weekend has halted the Seagulls’ momentum.

An EFL Cup 3-2 triumph over Wolves helped Brighton to extend their unbeaten run. The Seagulls had nine shots on target and goals from Carlos Baleba, Simon Adingra and Ferdi Kadıoğlu secured the win.

Brighton Injuries

Midfield trio James Milner, Solly March and Matthew O'Riley are injured and unavailable.

Attacker Brajan Gruda is also out due to injury.

Nottingham Forest Form

Nottingham Forest have found some rhythm under Nuno Espirito Santo this season. The Midlands outfit haven’t lost any of their five matches and have drawn three.

Forest held Bournemouth to a 1-1 draw before beating Southampton 1-0 away. Successive 1-1 stalemates with Newcastle in the EFL Cup and Wolves in the league followed.

The Reds’ best result of the campaign came on Saturday as they edged Liverpool to a 1-0 win at Anfield. Forest were outplayed with 0.59-1.17 XG but Callum Hudson-Odoi’s 71st-minute strike proved to be the winner.

Nottingham Forest Injuries

Midfielder Ibrahim Sangare and centre-back Willy Boly are injury doubts.

Full-back Danilo is ruled out.

Verdict

Brighton’s blistering start to the Premier League season has pulled up following consecutive draws. Nottingham Forest will be on a high after their win at Anfield and the in-form teams can share the points.
