Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

Arsenal will be very eager to get out of their rut and back to claiming three pointers at home. It is the perfect game for them after the international break and I fancy them to pull through.

  • Arsenal have won 5 of their last 6 home games.

  • Arsenal have seen BTTS in 4 consecutive Premier League home games.
  • Nottingham Forest have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches.
  • Nottingham Forest have seen BTTS in 3 consecutive away games.

Head to Head

In 105 games, Arsenal have won 54, Forest 29 along with 22 draws.

Arsenal Form

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal started the 2024/25 season with a 10-match unbeaten run in all competitions. The Gunners won seven in this streak, with five victories coming at the Emirates.

The North Londoners hit some patchy form before the international break. Arteta’s outfit suffered back-to-back 1-0 away defeats against Newcastle and Inter Milan.

A 1-1 draw at Chelsea eased some of the pressure and Arsenal had good chances with 1.96 XG. Gabriel Martinelli struck just before the hour mark but the Gunners conceded on 69 minutes.

Arsenal Injuries

Defensive quartet Kieran Tierney, Riccardo Calafiori, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White are injured and unavailable.

Nottingham Forest Form

Nottingham Forest began their Premier League campaign with just two wins in their opening five games.

Three wins on the spin shot the Reds up the table before the international break. Forest defeated Crystal Palace 1-0, Leicester 3-1 and West Ham 3-0 during this run.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side couldn’t extend their winning streak and lost 3-1 against Newcastle. Forest led through Murillo’s first-half goal before allowing 1.87 XG and conceding three in the second period.

Nottingham Forest Injuries

Defender Danilo and midfielder Ibrahim Sangare are sidelined due to injury.

Verdict

Arsenal will be fired up to get all three points at the Emirates after falling behind in the title race. Nottingham Forest showed frailties against Newcastle and the Gunners will sense a home victory here.
