  • Arsenal and Chelsea are currently struggling for consistency in the Premier League.
  • Arsenal has key players like Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Kai Havertz out due to injury.
  • Both teams have strong head-to-head records, but a draw is the likely result given recent form.

Arsenal vs Chelsea Predictions

Inconsistency is the word that describes both these sides recent form. I expect this to end level.

  • Arsenal have drawn their last 2 EPL matches.
  • Arsenal have drawn 2 of their last 3 against Chelsea.
  • Chelsea are winless in 6 consecutive away EPL games.

Head to Head

Arsenal have an 84-66 advantage against Chelsea in 210 meetings with 60 draws.

Arsenal Form

Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes have slipped away as the Gunners sit 15 points behind Liverpool. Mikel Arteta’s side have won just once in their previous five in all competitions, drawing three.

The Gunners lost at home in the league for the first time this season after a 1-0 defeat against West Ham. A goalless draw with Nottingham Forest and a 1-1 stalemate at Man United came either side of a 7-1 victory at PSV.

The North London team drew 2-2 in their Champions League round of 16 second leg against PSV on Wednesday. First-half goals from Oleksandr Zinchenko and Declan Rice weren’t enough to lead Arsenal to victory.

Arsenal Injuries & Team News

Attackers Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz are unavailable due to injury.

Defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is also ruled out.

Decland Rice has scored twice and assisted once in his last three outings.

Chelsea Form

Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have jumped into the Premier League’s top four after back-to-back wins. The Blues had won just two of their previous 10 league matches before the mini upturn in form.

Chelsea lost three away games in February, falling to 2-1 and 3-0 defeats at Brighton and a 2-1 loss at Aston Villa. They hit back with a four-match winning run, including home league victories against Southampton 4-0 and Leicester 1-0.

Maresca’s team sealed a fourth consecutive win in all competitions by defeating Copenhagen 1-0 in the Conference League. Chelsea edged the contest with 11-10 shots and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall struck just after half time.

Chelsea Injuries & Team News

Mykhailo Mudryk is suspended and won’t feature.

Midfielder Roméo Lavia and forward trio Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu and Noni Madueke are injured.

Verdict

Arsenal and Chelsea have struggled for Premier League momentum recently. The patchy sides are well-matched in quality and form and a draw at the Emirates has good value.
