Mozambique vs Botswana Predictions - Mambas to bounce back with a win over Botswana

Mozambique have a commanding lead of four victories to none against Botswana in the COSAFA Cup. 

Mozambique drew 0-0 against Eswatini last weekend, recording their second consecutive draw in the 2024 COSAFA Cup. 

Mozambique created chances to score against Eswaitni in both halves of the match but could not put the ball in the back of the net, as they settled for a share of the spoils.

Mozambique had 55% possession and 13 shots in the match, with seven attempts on target. 

The Mambas have one win in their last five COSAFA Cup games, including one defeat and three draws. They scored three goals and conceded three. 

Mozambique are level on points with all the other teams in their group but will fancy their chances to secure a place in the knockout round as they have a perfect winning record in this competition over Botswana. 

Chamito Alfandega scored the equaliser against South Africa in their opening Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup fixture.

Botswana drew 0-0 against South Africa last weekend, their second consecutive goalless draw in this edition of the competition. 

Botswana did not create many clear-cut scoring opportunities against South Africa but did enough in each half to frustrate the hosts and earn a point for their efforts. 

Botswana had 39% possession and five shots in the match, with zero attempts on target.

The Zebras have secured one victory in their last five COSAFA Cup fixtures, including one loss and three draws. They scored two goals and let in two at the back. 

Botswana must rediscover their shooting boots to give themselves a chance of making it through to the next round. However, they have a poor record against Mozambique, losing all four encounters in the COSAFA Cup. 

Head coach Didier Da Rosa could change his starting XI against Mozambique after failing to score in the competition thus far.
