Comoros vs Zambia Predictions - Comoros and Zambia to share the spoils

Zambia defeated Comoros 2-1 in the group stages at the 2023 COSAFA Cup in the only meeting between the two nations in this competition. 

Comoros kept their hopes alive of progressing further in the competition with a 2-0 victory over Kenya last weekend. 

Comoros' first goal came from a spot kick in the 34th minute of the match after Kenya had a player sent off a minute earlier. 

Comoros did not take long to double their tally after the restart, finding the back of the net four minutes into the second half. 

Comoros had 55% possession and nine shots in the match, with five attempts on target. 

The Coelacanths have won two of their last five COSAFA Cup fixtures, including three losses. They scored six goals and conceded five. 

Comoros will start confidently against Zambia after the recent victory, and another three points will put them on level points with Zimbabwe in Group B; however, their opponents did get the better of them in the 2023 edition of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup. 

Affane Djambae scored a brace against Kenya, registering his first two goals in the tournament.

Zambia recorded their second consecutive loss in this edition of the Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup, losing two goals to nil against Zimbabwe.

Zambia had a poor start against Zimbabwe, conceding after only eight minutes of play before having a player sent off 12 minutes before halftime.

Zambia fell further behind in the 43rd minute of the match, as they went into the break with the disadvantage. 

Chipolopolo made four substitutions in the second half but could not find a goal, as Zimbabwe held onto the two-goal cushion until the final whistle.

Zambia had 38% possession and four shots in the match, with one attempt on target.

Chipolopolo have registered two victories in their last five COSAFA Cup fixtures, including three defeats. They scored six goals and conceded five. 

Zambia have not enjoyed a successful title defence after two consecutive losses, although they did defeat Comoros during the competition last year. Can they return to winning ways? 

Defender Killian Kanguluma received a red card in the first half and will serve a suspension. 

Chitoshi Chinga came off injured midway through the first half and is a doubtful starter.
