TP Mazembe Form

TP Mazembe came away empty-handed in their group-stage clash against Al-Hilal last weekend, losing 2-1 away from home.

TP Mazembe were trailing in the 22nd minute of the match after Al-Hilal slotted home a penalty to gain the advantage.

Mazembe drew level after 64 minutes of play, but Al-Hilal scored their second goal in the first minute of stoppage time to snatch victory from the team from DR Congo.

TP Mazembe had 53% possession and 13 shots in the game, with four attempts on target.

The Ravens have won five of their last seven fixtures, including one loss and one draw. They scored 12 goals and conceded two.

TP Mazembe have recorded five victories in their last seven home matches, including two draws. They scored 14 goals and conceded three.

TP Mazembe have yet to get their group-stage campaign up and running but will fancy their chances against a Young Africans side struggling to win and score goals in the competition.

TP Mazembe Team News & Injuries

Oscar Kabwit scored the equaliser against Al-Hilal, registering his first goal in this edition of the CAF Champions League.

Mohamed Abdelrahman has scored three goals in the competition thus far.

Adama Coulibaly and Yasser Muzammil have contributed with one goal each.

Young Africans Form

Young Africans had no answer against MC Alger in the CAF Champions League fixture last weekend, losing 2-0 away from home.

Young Africans did enough in the first half to keep MC Alger at bay, going into the break on level terms.

However, MC Alger took the lead in the 64th minute of the match and grabbed their second in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time to seal the victory.

Young Africans had 48% possession and three shots in the match, with zero attempts on target.

Young Africans have secured three victories in their last seven fixtures, including four losses. They scored five goals and conceded eight.

Yanga have won six of their last seven away games, including one defeat. They scored seven goals and conceded two.

Young Africans have lost their Group A fixtures thus far without scoring a goal, which is not the ideal form to have when facing a TP Mazembe side on a 27-match unbeaten run at home.

Young Africans Team News & Injuries

Khalid Aucho, Dickson Job, and Chadrack Boka are doubtful starters.

Stephane Aziz Ki scored four goals in the preliminary rounds of the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.

Prince Dube, Clement Mzize, and Clatous Cama have netted three goals each in the competition thus far.

Verdict

TP Mazembe will use their impressive home form to secure a win-to-nil victory against an out-of-sorts Young Africans with a 2-0 score at full-time.
