Mamelodi Sundowns vs Al Hilal Tips - Four home wins in a row vs Sudanese giants

Mamelodi Sundowns hold a 4-1 advantage across six previous meetings with one draw.

Sundowns won 4-2 away from home when the sides last met in March 2022.

Sundowns are in sensational form having won 15 league matches in a row. Full attention now turns to the CAF Champions League with just one PSL finish in the next five weeks.

They rode their luck to beat SuperSport United 1-0 at home and then Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 away. A 2-1 win at TS Galaxy came before a 2-0 win at Sekhukhune United and a 1-0 win at Orlando Pirates.

In midweek, they beat Richards Bay 3-2 at home in the Nedbank Cup to progress to the round of 16.

Coach Rhulani Mokwena rested players in midweek. Goalkeeper Ronwen Williams will return but playmaker Themba Zwane is an injury doubt.

Up front, Gaston Sirino is carrying a knock. Neo Maema and Teboho Mokoena will start in central midfield after rests in midweek.

Al Hilal sit top of the Sudani Premier League table. They have a four point lead with almost half the season gone. 

They suffered a dip around the turn of the year as they lost 2-1 at Al Ahli Khartoum to end an 11 match unbeaten start to the season. They then drew 3-3 at Kober and 0-0 at home with Al Merreikh. 

Seed Al-Balad have responded with three consecutive wins to nil. They beat Al Zoma Khartoum 2-0 and Hay Al Wadi 3-0 at home. Their last match saw a 2-0 in 16th placed Al-Ahly Merowe.

Coach Florent Ibenge has a clean bill of health and no suspensions to contend with.
