Tunisia vs Mali Preview
Tunisia suffered a shock defeat in their last match and will need to put things right against Mali. However, Mali are looking in great form so this could be a very tight match. I’m backing them to share the spoils.

Head to Head
Over their last three matches there has been a win for each side and a draw.
Tunisia Form
Tunisia came into this AFCON tournament unbeaten in their last four matches and among the favourites to make it quite deep into the tournament.
In their World Cup qualifiers, Tunisia won both games to nil against Sao Tome and Principe and Malawi. They then drew 0-0 in a friendly against Mauritania and beat Cape Verde 2-0. However, Tunisia suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Namibia in their opening AFCON game.
The surprising thing was that it wasn’t a snatch and grab by Namibia, they had more shot at goal and on target that Tunisia despite the North Africans enjoying 62% possession.
It took until the 88th minute for Namibia to score the winning goal but that creates a huge problem for Tunisia who almost certainly have to win this game to stay in the hunt.

Mali Form
Mali are now unbeaten in their last eight matches so their form is very promising as we approach game week two of AFCON.
Ahead of the tournament, Mali defeated Chad and drew with Central African Republic in their World Cup qualifiers. They won their only warmup game 6-2 against Guinea-Bissau.
In what is considered the group of death at AFCON, Mali got off to a superb start, beating South Africa 2-0. It was a tight contest between two well matched sides but two goals in six minutes sealed it for Mali.
Hamari Traore scored in the 60th minute before Lassine Sinayoko doubled the lead in the 66th minute.
