Head to Head

Tunisia have a slight edge with three victories to two against Botswana, including two draws in seven meetings across all competitions.

Tunisia drew 0-0 against Botswana away from home last year.

Tunisia Form

Tunisia were on top of Group J after defeating Libya 3-0 at home and 1-0 away; however, they dropped to second place after going down by a goal to nil against Equatorial Guinea away from home in June.

They played a friendly international against Algeria a few days after that loss, drawing 1-1 away from home.

Tunisia have decent form, registering three victories in their last seven matches, including two losses and two draws. They have netted six goals and conceded three.

The Carthage Eagles have been in excellent touch at home, winning six of their last seven fixtures, including one draw. They have scored 17 goals and conceded one.

Tunisia are on a seven-game unbeaten run at home and will fancy their chances to extend their streak with a victory over Botswana in front of their loyal fans.

Botswana Form

Botswana have been eliminated from the AFCON qualification round after a lacklustre effort during the group stages.

They lost 2-0 away to Equatorial Guinea and 3-2 at home in the return match in March before picking up a 1-0 home victory over Libya in June.

The Zebras have not been at their best lately, winning two of their last seven fixtures, including four defeats and one draw. They have scored five goals and let in eight.

Botswana have struggled to win frequently on their travels, securing one victory in their last seven outings, including four losses and two draws. They have scored three goals and conceded seven.

Botswana cannot progress any further in the African Cup of Nations but will use this game against Tunisia as preparation for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Botswana Team News & Injuries

Coach Mogomotsi Mpote has dropped Thero Setsile, Mothusi Johnson and Thabo Motswagole from the squad due to indiscipline.

Tawana Mbakile and Thabang Khuduga have been selected as the replacements.

Verdict

Tunisia is tipped to take all the points with a win-to-nil performance and a 2-0 score, as they are a tough nut to crack on home soil, and Botswana have been struggling to win on the road and are lacking goals.
