Sudan vs Ghana Predictions - Ghana to settle for a point in AFCON qualifier

I am backing this fixture to end level once again.

Ghana have won five of their last seven games against Sudan along with one defeat and a draw. Last week, these sides drew 0-0 in Ghana.

Sudan have been impressive in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. They are second in Group F with a win, a draw and a defeat in three games.

Last week, Sudan got an impressive point in Ghana with a 0-0 draw. Prior to that they lost 2-1 in Angola and beat Niger 1-0 at home in their opener.

This fixture offers Sudan a great opportunity to put some distance between them and Ghana on the table. 

Sudan won’t feel like they need to make any unforced changes this week. Defensively Sudan are very sound and they will once again rely on that to get them through.

Ghana are under major pressure in Group F of the AFCON qualifiers. They are currently third with just two points from their three games.

The Ghanaians lost their opening qualifying game at home 1-0 to Angola before taking a point through a 1-1 draw in Niger. Last week they could only draw 0-0 at home against Sudan on home soil and will now have to get a positive result away from home to jump into second.

Ghana have a quality squad but they are not managing to put in the performances. I expect wholesale changes after last week’s pitiful home display.
