South Africa vs Tunisia Predictions
This group is wide open going into the final round of fixtures. All of them can still qualify but for Tunisia, only a win will do. For South Africa, a draw may be enough if Mali beat Namibia.

Bafana Bafana are defensively sound so I think they can hold Tunisia to a draw.
- South Africa have seen under 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 10 matches.
- South Africa won their last match.
- Tunisia have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 5 matches.
- Tunisia drew their last match.
- Tunisia are winless in their last 2 matches.
Head to Head
Tunisia have won their last two fixtures against South Africa.
South Africa Form
South Africa started their tournament poorly with a 2-0 defeat to Mali. However, coming into the tournament, the 1996 African Cup of Nations champions were in decent form, at least from a defensive perspective.
After their defeat to Mali, South Africa were in a must-win situation against Namibia, a side who shocked Tunisia. Bafana Bafana were far too good on the day in a 4-0.
Percy Tau opened the scoring from the spot in the 14th minute before a Themba Zwane brace in the first half. At 3-0 the game was all but over. Thapelo Maseko added a fourth in the 75th minute.
A draw may be enough for South Africa in this match if Mali don’t lose against Namibia.
South Africa Injuries & Team News
Hugo Broos does not often go into a match unchanged. He will almost certainly make a couple changes at least.
Tunisia Form
Tunisia are under massive pressure coming into this final group match. They simply must win this game to have any chance of progressing to the knockout stage.
In their opening match, Tunisia suffered a shock 1-0 loss to Namibia. In their second game, Tunisia were down early against Mali, but Hamza Rafia leveled it up at 20 minutes.
Unfortunately, Tunisia couldn’t make any further inroads in what was a pretty dull game. Both teams scored from their only shot on target.
