Ghana vs Madagascar Preview
The Black Stars may have struggled in the AFCON earlier this season but they are formidable in qualifying matches, especially at home. Madagascar lack firepower and are poor travellers. A Ghana win to nil is tipped.

These sides have met on just one previous occasion. Madagascar won 2-1 in a friendly match played in South Africa in 2015.
Ghana Form
The Black Stars have been in mixed form of late by their high standards. They topped their World Cup 2022 Qualification group and won their playoff to reach the showpiece event.
Ghana had a nightmare time in the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year and were knocked out in the group stage. They lost 1-0 to Morocco, drew 1-1 with Gabon and lost 3-2 to minnows Comoros.
The side bounced back in their WC 2022 Playoff against Nigeria. A 0-0 home draw looked damaging but they went to Nigeria and drew 1-1 in the second leg to progress on away goals.

Coach Otto Addo is without his top midfielder Thomas Partey due to injury. Despite media speculation, Brighton right-back Tariq Lamptey is not named in the squad.

Their last two matches brought a 2-0 defeat away to Benin before a 1-1 home draw against Tanzania.
