African Super League Tips

The African Super League was just recently announced. You can find all the news at the official CAF website.

There will be 24 teams from 16 different countries that participate in the African Super League. The participating teams have not yet been announced but there will be relegation/promotion slots every year.

The total prize money for the competition will be $100-million. The winners of the competition will receive $11.6-million. Each team will receive an amount of $2.5-million up front to assist with travel arrangements and other logistical issues.

The African Super League fixtures have not yet been announced. The tournament will only start in 2023.

Confederation of African Football president, Patrice Motsepe only announced the tournament alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino on 10 August 2022. The tournament will start in 2023 with prize money far exceeding the current CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup.
