The World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup was founded in 2006 in order to create competitive matches between tier two rugby union nations. The tournament has in the past included teams such as the Junior All Blacks, Maori All Blacks, Australia A and Georgia.

However, it is not mainly contested by Canada, Fiji, Japan, Samoa, Tonga and the United States of America. 

Fiji are the defending champions and are favourites to retain the title in 2024. However, Japan are another side that should be considered while Samoa can upset the odds on their day.

The World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup kicks off on 23 August 2024 and will conclude with the final on 21 September 2024. Six teams participate and are in two pools of three.
