Madibaz produced a first-half display against UWC in their recent Varsity Shield semi-final clash, scoring 34 points to lead by 29 at the break.

Madibaz added only seven points to their tally in the second stanza to record a comfortable 41-24 victory over UWC.

Madibaz contested three away fixtures in this edition of the Varsity Shield. They lost 40-14 to Varsity College before beating UKZN 21-13 and WSU 36-14.
