Montpellier ended a three-game losing streak after securing a 26-24 home win against Vannes last weekend.

Montpellier scored two converted tries in the first half against Vannes to lead 17-14 at the break and grabbed a penalty soon after the restart before Vannes scored a converted try to lead 21-20.

Montpellier edged ahead via a penalty after 63 minutes of play; however, Vannes regained their lead two minutes later before the home side slotted over the winning penalty with six minutes remaining in the match.

Montpellier have played three fixtures on their travels this campaign, winning 26-7 against Perpignan before losing 28-27 against Bayonne and 29-20 against Stade Francais.

Montpellier are 11th in the Top 14 log with ten points from six games.

Montpellier will be pleased to have picked up valuable points in their previous outing; however, they must improve their away form to beat Toulon, as they have suffered two losses on their travels thus far.
