Stade Francais vs Montpellier Predictions - Stade Francais set to return to winning ways

Montpellier have a slight edge with 16 victories to 14 against Stade Francais, including two draws in 32 meetings. 

Stade Francais recorded their second consecutive loss in the Top 14 when they were defeated 30-16 by Pau away from home last weekend. 

Stade Francais went into the break with a 13-3 lead over Pau after scoring one converted try and two penalties.

However, Pau turned the tables against Stade Francais in the second half, scoring 27 points, which included four tries, two conversions, and one penalty.

Before that performance, Stade Francais lost 46-26 against Bordeaux away before playing back-to-back fixtures at home, defeating Vannes 34-31 and losing 14-10 against Toulon. 

Stade Francais are 13th in the Top 14 table, with five points from four matches. 

Stade Francais have been struggling to win lately, but they have shown they can get results on their home patch. Additionally, they have defeated Montpellier three consecutive times.

Stade Francais have parted ways with head coach Karim Ghezal after four rounds of the 2024/25 Top 14 season. 

Fijian Peniasi Dakuwaqa scored a try in the first half against Pau.

Zack Henry kicked three penalties and one conversion in the match, taking his tally to 20 points for the season. 

Montpellier were on course to win last weekend but registered their third defeat of the season, losing 28-27 against Bayonne away from home.

Montpellier did not enjoy their first 40 minutes against Bayonne, going into the break trailing 15-0 at halftime.

However, Montpellier mounted a comeback in the second half against their hosts scoring, 27 points to lead their opponents by six points before Bayonne scored a converted try in the 79th minute of the match to secure the victory.

Before that result, Montpellier lost 26-22 against Lyan at home and defeated Perpignan 26-7 away before losing 11-20 against Toulouse at home.  

Montpellier are 10th in the Top 14 log with six points from four games. 

Montpellier will not be pleased after failing to close the game out in their previous outing and must improve on their away form to have a chance against Stade Francais after losing their last three encounters against their opponents. 

Lenni Mouchi, Alexis Bernadet, and Wilfrid Hounkpatin scored a try each against Bayoone.

Hugo Miotti scored two conversions, whilst Leo Coly slotted two penalties and one conversion in the match.
