Waratahs vs Highlanders Predictions
This should be another tight battle but after their superb performance last weekend, it is difficult to look past the Waratahs in Sydney. I am backing them to cover the -3 handicap.

Head to Head
The Waratahs have won their last two matches against the Highlanders.
Waratahs Form
The Waratahs made a slow start to Super Rugby 2024 in round one. They lost 40-22 against the Reds away from home.
That all changed in dramatic fashion last weekend. While it was an official away game against the Crusaders, all fixtures were played in Melbourne.
The Waratahs, against all odds, produced a sublime performance to beat the defending champions, 37-24. As expected, the Crusaders dominated possession, but the Tahs’ were brilliant on defence, missing just 19 tackles while making 167.
Waratahs Injuries & Team News
The Tahs’ will look to remain as consistent as possible after their stellar win last weekend.
Highlanders Form
The Highlanders began the season with a solid 35-21 home win over Moana. While it wasn’t a performance worth mentioning too much, it was enough to get the victory on the opening weekend.
Over the last few seasons, the Otago side has struggled to maintain the consistent form of their fellow New Zealand sides. They will hope this year they can prove some doubters wrong.
After getting the win on opening weekend, the Highlanders faced off against the Blues in Melbourne last weekend. It was a very different challenge against a strong Auckland side, but the Highlander held firm for most of the game.
They ended up losing 37-29 but their overall performance was enough to convince that they are in a better space this season.
Highlanders Injuries & Team News
The Dunedin side may look to make a few changes this weekend with the season ahead still long.
Verdict
Waratahs are backed to cover the -3 handicap on home soil.
