Moana may be second from bottom, but they have won three of their eight games to date. A few of their defeats have also been by narrow margins and compared to previous seasons, this one is going best of all.

In the early rounds, Pasifika were slightly unfortunate, going down by one point at the Force and by two points to the Highlanders in rounds one and three. They lost heavily in round two to the Reds.

That was followed by a home win over the Hurricanes and a 15-point loss to the Chiefs. Then, Moana produced a stunning performance to beat the Crusaders 45-29 at home. They went back-to-back, beating the Waratahs a week later but lost 36-17 to the Blues at Eden Park last weekend.

Brumbies Form

The Brumbies have been a bit inconsistent this season but lately they are looking more like themselves. They are third on the table with five wins and three losses.

The season began with an away win against Fijian Drua before returning home to lose to the Western Force. They followed it with a defeat to the Chiefs in Hamilton but managed to beat the Blues 21-20 away and Fijian Drua comfortably at home.

Another loss followed as the Brums went down 28-23 to the Waratahs but the last two weeks have seen superb performances. First the Brumbies beat the Highlanders away from home and last week defeated the Redes 39-26 away.
