The Crusaders had a bye for the opening weekend of Super Rugby Aotearoa. They were brilliant during Super Rugby and it would not be surprising if they pick up from where they left off.

Before the break, the Crusaders won four of five Super Rugby fixtures, only losing in rather surprising fashion to the Chiefs. Their final match before the break was a 24-20 win over the Reds from Australia in Christchurch.

The Crusaders looked set to clinch another Super Rugby triumph in 2020. While that won't be happening this year, they will see the inaugural Super Rugby Aotearoa trophy as a must-win. With an All Black-laden side, the Crusaders are likely to outclass the Hurricanes.
