This is a very tough fixture to call. The Blues are slight favourites with a four-point handicap, but the Hurricanes are a tough nut to crack at the Sky Stadium. Both sides come into this off the back of two victories, so I’m leaning towards the hosts to cause an upset.

The Hurricanes have started the 2024 season on fire with two wins in their opening two fixtures. They picked up a bonus point victory in round one when they thrashed the Western Force 44-14 away from home.

Last week, in Melbourne, things were a lot tighter against the Reds. The Canes outscored the Queensland outfit by six tries to five in an absolute thriller that ended 38-33.

It was an exciting contest between two sides wanting to give the ball some air. The Canes only missed 17 tackles whilst making 191. However, conceding five tries will still be a slight concern ahead of this week.
