Scotland have a history of getting close in these games and even beat France away a few years ago. I do think France will take the victory, but the visitors can cover.

France have won four of their last five against Scotland. In 2024, France beat the Scots 20-16 at Murrayfield, however, games are generally quite tight between these sides, regardless of where the fixture is played.

The equation going into this final round of the 2025 Six Nations is simple for France – win the match and the Six Nations is yours. Currently, the French top the table with 16 points, one ahead of England but they have a significantly better points difference.

However, after thrashing Wales in round one and Italy in round three, France did lose by a point to England away from home in round two.

To keep their title hopes alive, France had to win in Irelan last weekend, something not many teams in recent times have managed. But they did, putting in a sublime second half performance to win comfortably in the end.

France are not expected to make many changes for this must-win encounter.

Scotland Form

Scotland have once again just produced the bare minimum this season. They have not had a title challenge but have beaten Italy and Wales which puts them in fourth place.

Technically, Scotland can still win the Six Nations if Ireland lose to Italy, Wales beat England, and they beat France with a bonus point and stop the French from getting anything.

However, back to reality, Scotland have the ability to beat anyone on their day and if the French are not 100% at it, don’t put an upset beyond the Scots.
