France 2023 Rugby World Cup Fixtures

France face New Zealand in their opening World Cup game, and that is very likely to determine who tops Pool A. The other sides in the group are Uruguay, Italy and Namibia, none of which should pose too many questions for the top two sides.

Passage through to the quarter-final should be simple enough for France, but the result against the All Blacks will determine their quarter-final opponents. With Ireland, South Africa and Scotland waiting in Pool B however it looks like a tough fixture regardless.

France 2023 Rugby World Cup Odds

France are current favourites to win the World Cup on home soil for good reason. They have been close to unbeatable on home soil over the last two years, and although they finished second in the 2023 Six Nations, their only defeat came in Ireland.

The hosts seem like the obvious choice to win their first ever World Cup, but despite their strong form, many stranger things have happened during the showpiece event.

As of 24 April, France are priced at 3.75 to win the World Cup with bet.co.za.

France Rugby World Cup History
