Samoa have shown during the warm-up matches that they are full of quality. I suspect this will be a very close battle with Argentina needing vast improvement from their opener to claim the win. I’m backing Samoa to get within the 14-point handicap and wouldn’t be surprised if they win.

Argentina came into this Rugby World Cup with high hopes of potentially matching their 2007 run to the semi-finals. They got a favourable draw but they simply must win this match.
Los Pumas were slight favourites in their opening against England considering the form the English showed prior to the World Cup. However, Argentina put in perhaps their worst display over the last 24 months, losing 27-10.
It was error after error from Argentina which allowed England to accumulate points. While Los Pumas didn’t concede a try, they were thoroughly outplayed.

Argentina simply can’t afford to rest players against a strong Samoan outfit. Defeat here could mean an early exit from the tournament so expect them to be at full strength.

Samoa didn’t start their campaign until last weekend after enjoying an opening weekend off.
In that opener, Samoa defeated a determined Chile outfit 43-10. It was only in the second half that they managed to pull away but there was enough to show that they will be very competitive against top sides.
In order to progress to the quarter-finals, Samoa will have to beat either Argentina or England so this is their chance to get an upset.
