The Junior Springboks come into this U20 World Cup as favourites to win the tournament on home soil. While they have featured prominently at all U20 World Cup’s in the past, the only time they have lifted the title was in 2012.

The U20 South African side is, as always, littered with quality but it is always tough to predict how they will perform together as a side. I expect this to be a scrappy type performance from the hosts against a strong Georgian side.

Georgia U20 Form

The Georgian side have not played together much as they do not feature in the age-group Six Nations. This makes it tough for the side to come together and hit it off straight away.

However, in the 2022 World Cup, Georgia showed they have the quality, beating Scotland in a group stage match. Much like their senior counterparts, Georgia will have a strong pack to challenge the Junior Springboks.
