Scotland had a very good Six Nations campaign where they finished third behind Ireland and France. They won three of their five games, losing only to the two teams above them.

In their final match of the 2023 Six Nations, Scotland went down 32-21 in France, but the result could have been vastly different.

Last week Scotland beat Italy reasonably comfortably in their first World Cup warm-up clash.

Scotland will be making more changes to their side this week. It is all about getting players time in the legs and testing combinations ahead of the World Cup. Finn Russell does, however, start at flyhalf.

France Form

This will be the first time France play since the conclusion of the Six Nations. They finished that campaign in second place after losing only to Ireland, the eventual champions.

The French are ranked second in the world and are favourites to claim the World Cup later this year on home soil. They will however need to put in some good performances ahead of the tournament to further cement their favourites tag.
