Ireland vs England Preview
Ireland are clear favourites at home against an England side in a bit of a slump. Team selections could be key to determining the margin of victory, but I feel Ireland should cover the -15 handicap in Dublin.

Head to Head
Ireland have won their last three matches against England. In the 2023 Six Nations, Ireland beat England 29-16 at home.
Ireland Form
Ireland are currently ranked No.1 in the world and rightly so. They are also the defending Six Nations champions after going through the campaign unbeaten earlier this year.
In the process, Ireland defeated England and France at the Aviva Stadium. The Irish have won their last 14 of their last 15 matches with their last defeat in Europe coming during the 2022 Six Nations in Paris.
Ireland have played one warm-up game thus far, beating Italy 33-17 at home a fortnight ago.
Ireland Injuries & News
Ireland have yet to announce their team, but we do know Jonny Sexton will not feature due to suspension. We have already seen big names go down injured during the warm-up games so Ireland may be reluctant to field a full-strength side.
England Form
England are struggling for any sort of form this year. The sacking of Eddie Jones is looking, at this point, like a big mistake. They were indeed poor under Jones as well, but he does have World Cup pedigree which would have helped this year.
Over the last two weekends England have lost in Wales and then beat the same opposition at Twickenham last week. Unfortunately, their win last week was against a much-weakened Welsh side, and they just got over the line.
The bigger concern for England will be their discipline after they had 12 players on the field at one point last week.
England Injuries & News
Owen Farrell has been cleared after his red card last week. It is however unlikely that he will feature with many people criticizing World Rugby for letting Farrell off the hook yet again.
Verdict
Ireland are backed to cover the -15 handicap on home soil against England.
