Chile vs Scotland Predictions - Comfortable win for the Scots in Chile

Scotland have never played against Chile.

Chile have not played rugby since their impressive showing at the 2023 Rugby World Cup. It was their first ever major tournament and despite losing all their games, they showed enough promise to get people excited.

The Chileans lost 42-12 to Japan and 43-10 against Samoa, two very good performances. While they suffered a 71-0 loss to England, the first 20 minutes of that game was hotly contested.

Chile will be at full strength given the importance of their limited international appearances against top tier opponents.

Scotland rugby is in a good place at the moment and although they were unfortunate at the World Cup last year to be drawn alongside Ireland and South Africa in the group stage, they are looking to be in a good position for 2027.

During the Six Nations earlier this year, Scotland beat Wales and England while losing narrowly at home to France. Their one blip was a 31-29 defeat to Italy away. In the final game of the tournament, the Scots impressed in Dublin as they went down 17-13 to Ireland.

Scotland have been on tour in the Americas over the course of the last few weeks. They thrashed Canada 73-12 and last week beat USA 42-7. While building for the future, many of the top players are still on tour.

Scotland are changing things up again this week with a few debutants expected.
