Zebre vs Sharks Predictions - Zebre backed struggling Sharks

Last season the Sharks beat Zebre 42-13 away from home.

Zebre are perennial bottom feeders in the URC and although they have played some decent rugby in the opening three rounds, they have still lost three from three.

On the opening weekend, the Italian side lost 40-36 at home to Ulster before going down 34-31 at Ospreys. In the latter fixture, Zebre let slip a healthy lead in the second half but at least they picked up bonus points from both games.

Last week Zebre suffered a 54-29 home loss to the Bulls. That was a convincing defeat, but Zebre have shown they can score points in all three games. Despite defeats, they have already picked up five bonus points, scoring four tries in all three games and losing two of them by less than seven.

Zebre will fancy getting their first win of the season this weekend. I expect a full-strength lineup.

The Sharks will be very disappointed with their start to the season. They are currently at the bottom of the table, the only side yet to pick up a point.

On paper, the Sharks have a very strong squad, but they have missed their South African internationals in the opening three rounds. That said, their opposition have also been without their internationals in the opening three games.

In round one, the Sharks went down 34-13 to Leinster before losing 34-21 to Munster, both away from home. Last week the Sharks lost 19-5 away at Ospreys, a game they would have fancied winning.

Sharks are still without their international players but still have a squad full of quality. They just haven’t managed to perform thus far, something they had better turnaround soon.
