Last season the Lions suffered a 39-37 home defeat to Ulster.
Ulster Form
Ulster are currently fourth on the URC table with 14 points. They have won three of their four games this season.
The start of the season was tough for all teams without their international players, but Ulster managed to still get results. They began with a 40-36 away win over Zebre before beating the in-form Bulls 26-19 at home.
Ulster then suffered an agonising 22-20 away defeat in a derby against Connacht. Last week Ulster, however, managed to beat the defending champions, Munster 21-14 at home.

Despite international players being done with the World Cup, all the Irish ones are not yet back with their clubs. Ulster are likely to have a similar side to last week.
Lions Form
On paper the Lions do not look great at the minute with one win from their four games this season. They have, however, suffered some very narrow defeats which could easily have gone the other way.
In round one the Lions started horribly against the Stormers but mounted a second half comeback. They ended up falling just short at home. They then lost 17-16 in Edinburgh, another very tight contest.
A fortnight ago the Lions went down 15-10 to Benetton on Italy before their first win of the season last week. It was a close one that fell in the Johannesburg side’s favour for a change with a late try sealing a 24-23 victory at Scarlets.
Lions Injuries & Team News
The Lions don’t have many international stars so are not missing many players. They do however have a reasonably settled squad and should remain largely unchanged from last weekend.
Verdict
Lions can cover the +14 handicap in Ireland. It would however take some effort for them to get a win.
