The Bulls have won three from three thus far and are favourites to win here as well. However, the Scarlets are a competitive side, particularly at home, so I do see less than 12 points in this margin.

The Bulls smashed the Scarlets 63-21 at Loftus Versfeld last season.

Scarlets will be reasonably pleased with their performances through the opening four rounds of the URC, but the results have not quite fallen their way.

In round one, a tough trip to Benetton awaited the Welsh outfit and the 20-20 draw they got must be seen as a good result. A week later saw Scarlets lose 24-15 at home to Cardiff, a game they really should be winning.

In round three, Scarlets were at home once again, this time going down 24-23 to Connacht. That defeat was agonising for the hosts who were superb throughout.

Last week, Scarlets bounced back to get their first win of the season, beating Cardiff 25-19 away to avenge their defeat from round one.

Scarlets will be looking for back-to-back victories to get their season up and running. I do not foresee too many changes to the side that beat Cardiff last week.

Bulls Form

The Bulls didn’t play in round one, so they have only played three games thus far. Al three have ended in victory as the runners-up from last season make an early statement.

In their opener, the Bulls struggled somewhat at home against Edinburgh, eventually winning the game 22-16. However, their set piece struggled and that could be a concern when their international players aren’t available.

A week later, the Bulls had their strongest side available as they thrashed Ulster 47-21 at home. Last week, in their first game on tour, the Bulls saw off a spirited Ospreys side 29-19.

The last two weeks has seen the Bulls close to full strength with Springbok players available. Jake White is likely to make changes this weekend as some players will be forced to rest.
